The technician is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, and decommissioning server and network equipment within the data center. They ensure quality checks for cabling and grounding while providing guidance to other technicians to maintain service efficiency.
Requires a high school diploma or vocational qualification and basic knowledge of computer hardware. Candidates must have experience in hardware diagnostics and decommissioning, and possess a valid driver's license for travel between sites.
As a Microsoft Data Center Technician (DCT), you will demonstrate expertise in standard processes and procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment, as well as a holistic understanding of the functions of, and interactions between, network and server equipment. You will provide input for suggested modifications to these processes and procedures as needed to improve service quality and efficiency while providing guidance to other technicians.
You may be required to travel between sites as part of this role so a valid driver’s license will be required.
