We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Maintenance Handyperson to join our dedicated team at The Westin and Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane

Role Overview:

As the Maintenance Handyperson, you will be a dynamic team member who performs various maintenance duties around the cluster of The Westin Brisbane & Four Points by Sheraton Brisbane to ensure the hotels are efficiently maintained. This role requires that all duties are conducted in a courteous, safe and efficient manner, ensuring that there is a consistent high level of service. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Use the Work Request System and Preventative Maintenance Program.
• Carry out all tasks, guided by the Work Request System and Preventative Maintenance Program
• Clean and maintain plant rooms/workshop in proper condition.
• Work on a rotating shift as directed
• Carry out and administrate the Rooms Inspection program as per hotel Standards
• Carry out duties as directed by Chief Engineer/ Maintenance Supervisor
• Communicate to the Chief engineer/ Maintenance Supervisor on a daily basis about allocated jobs
• Anticipate guest’s needs through observation and offer prompt, efficient service either personally or through effective communication with other associates

About You:

• Proven experience in Engineering/Maintenance Operations, in a similar position within a multi-disciplinary organisation 
• Knowledge of hospitality industry standards 
• Hands-on attitude and strong willingness to learn 
• High attention-to-detail 
• Commitment to workplace health & safety
