About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Java Backend Engineer (JuniorMid Level) to join our engineering team. This role will work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment while contributing to core systems that power our products.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain backend applications and RESTful APIs using Java and related frameworks (Spring Boot)
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and QA teams to deliver high-quality features
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving coding standards and best practices
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code with a focus on scalability and performance
• Debug, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance
• Contribute to technical documentation and system design discussions
• Stay updated with industry trends and continuously improve backend development skills

Requirements:

• Familiarity with Java Spring / Spring Boot framework
• Basic understanding of RESTful APIs and web services
• Experience with SQL / relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Experience or exposure to ElasticSearch and building search or analytics functionality
• Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
• Eagerness to learn, adapt, and grow in a collaborative environment
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with team members

Plus

• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS or Azure)
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis)
• Knowledge of testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito)
