The Wellness Mentor serves as a role model and leader, managing the day-to-day operations of the Wellness Center. They provide information, referrals, and peer support to community members while connecting them with essential recovery and wellness resources.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and be willing to disclose lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery. A valid NJ driver's license is required, and a Peer Certificate or related BA is preferred or must be obtained within one year.
Description
CSPNJ, a mental health nonprofit agency, is looking for a Wellness Mentor. Under the direction of the Wellness Center Manager, the Wellness Mentor acts as a leader and role model for members, visitors, and community members. The Mentor understands the center’s mission as well as basic principles of wellness, recovery and peer support. This position works directly with the Center Manager and in collaboration with the members to plan, implement, and maintain Wellness Center operations.
