The Title I Paraprofessional assists teachers by working with individual students or small groups to reinforce instructional material and achieve learning objectives. Responsibilities include monitoring student behavior, maintaining classroom records, preparing teaching materials, and providing tutoring in various curriculum areas.
The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work effectively with diverse student populations.

Reports consistently for work as scheduled
Performs other duties as assigned
Attains proficient or higher evaluations on established Performance Standards
Assists in preparation, production, and maintenance of materials and equipment as assigned
Assists individual students in performing activities instructed by a teacher
Assists the student(s) in recitation, reading, and other curriculum tasks
Assists with testing of students
Attends meetings and conferences as required
Attends pre-job training, ongoing training, and meetings as required during the school year in order to remain up-to-date of job procedures
Carries out instructional programs and lessons in various learning environments as designated in the lesson plan
Checks Title I books in and out with students on take home logs
Collects data for assessment and monitoring purposes
Completes daily paper work (i.e., attendance report)
Coordinates completion of assignments with regular classroom teachers on reading and math
Develops and implements games and teaching aids
Maintains records necessary for effective operation of program, including annual inventory of all materials and equipment
Maintains student files updating information as appropriate
Maintains, orders, and organizes inventory of materials in an effective manner
Monitors behavior contracts and reward systems for students
Performs miscellaneous clerical duties and assists other staff members
Prepares bulletin boards for parents and programs
Provides individual tutoring for students in computer skills and usage
Supervises and resolves disciplinary student issues
Supervises students in the use of the various programs on the computer
Under supervision of a teacher, works with small groups of students to reinforce material initially introduced by the teacher
Works with confidential student information
Works with students in one-to-one situations
Ability to adapt to changing technologies and to learn functionality of new equipment and systems
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to create, access, input, retrieve, and manipulate information in various software systems
Ability to establish and maintain accurate record keeping, document management, and filing systems
