About the Team
Our GEOSPACES team is instrumental in developing and maintaining innovative technologies that tackle evolving challenges within the intelligence community. Additionally, these roles will focus on designing, integrating, and validating complex tenant environments tailored to specific use cases, supporting critical customer objectives.
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of ICT capabilities within a complex Defence program.
This is a high-impact role responsible for driving the successful execution of approved work packages from initiation through to delivery and transition into operations. You will operate within a structured, highly governed environment, ensuring delivery outcomes are predictable, compliant, and aligned to Defence expectations.
If you are motivated by leading multidisciplinary teams, managing delivery risk, and seeing projects through to operational impact, this role offers strong ownership and influence across mission-critical outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: -
Lead end-to-end delivery of ICT work packages, ensuring successful outcomes across scope, schedule, cost, quality, and performance.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, and delivery roadmaps to support effective execution.
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineering, architecture, security, and operations, through structured project lifecycle phases.
Lead project governance activities, including reporting, review forums, and compliance with program governance, assurance, and audit requirements.
Provide accurate and timely reporting on project status, progress, risks, schedules, and key performance metrics to support informed decision-making.
Identify, assess, and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and changes, implementing mitigation strategies and escalating where required.
Maintain proactive oversight of delivery performance to ensure project objectives and customer expectations are achieved.
Build and maintain trusted relationships with Defence customers and internal stakeholders through clear, proactive communication.
Facilitate collaboration across business and technical teams to align delivery with program priorities and achieve integrated project outcomes.
About You
Essential for this role: -
Demonstrated experience in project management within ICT, Defence or government environments
Proven ability to manage delivery across scope, schedule, cost and quality
Strong experience in risk, issue and dependency management
Experience operating within structured governance and gated delivery frameworks
Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams without formal line authority
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, including senior stakeholders
This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian citizen and hold, or be eligible to obtain NV2 security clearance and be successful for DISA.
If this role interests you, we encourage you to apply. We value different experiences and are interested in the capability and potential you could bring.
