The Automation Tester will design, develop, and execute automated test plans for informatics products while collaborating with cross-functional scrum teams. They are responsible for maintaining automation tools, performing fault isolation, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and security standards.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field and possess at least 2 years of software development or test automation experience. Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and SQL is required, along with strong communication skills and knowledge of software testing methodologies.
The Automation Tester (AT) reports into the AlinIQ Product Research and Development organization in Abbott Core Diagnostics. The AT is responsible for design, development, execution, review and reporting of automated testing for our informatics products in compliance with division, corporate, and industry regulation. This position will help build out and maintain our automation tools and test scripts. The AT will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for product research and development teams in automation practices, working closely with software engineers, software testing, business analysts, cybersecurity, and others in Agile Scrum methodologies. The role requires the ability to work in an environment that is fast paced, to work independently, and to communicate and collaborate well as part of a team.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering; computer science; management information system or closely related discipline.
