The Associate Aerospace Engineer provides design, integration, and test support for aviation platforms, focusing on mechanical drawings and airworthiness. They collaborate with engineering teams to ensure aircraft systems meet safety requirements and support the integration of air-launched effects.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited institution. The role requires the ability to obtain a Secret Government Security Clearance and travel up to 10%.
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Associate Aerospace Engineer with demonstrated training/education in providing air/space craft or propulsion system design, integration, and test support for aviation platforms. This position will be based out of Huntsville, AL and will report to the Principal Systems Engineer for Yulista Solutions, LLC.
This will be a part time position that may lead to full time employment.
The Associate Aerospace Engineer will be responsible for working on mechanical drawings, data and operational analyses, material and manpower requirements, assessing safety and airworthiness concerns, supporting the formulation of cost estimates for aviation equipment such as flight controls, propulsion systems, avionics, communications, navigation, and guidance equipment and computing to obtain and record specified data. In addition, it may be expected to advise on capabilities, limitation and safety of state-of-the-art equipment, proven and theoretical concepts, advantages, disadvantages, risks, compromises, and expectations with associated aviation system integrations in support of US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, USMC, SOCOM, and other government agencies in the areas of prototype integration and test, air launched effects, propulsion system integration, performance, airworthiness, and others as appropriate.
