The project technician is responsible for building and executing physical experimental setups related to soil-mechanical processes and water-soil interaction. This includes installing measurement equipment, preparing soil mixtures, and maintaining the experimental facilities.
Candidates must have at least an MBO-4 level education in civil engineering or hydraulic engineering and preferably several years of relevant technical experience. Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, along with an affinity for measurement and control technology, are required.

En affiniteit met meet- en regeltechniek? Dan is de functie projecttechnicus water-grond onderzoek perfect voor jou!
Wat kun je verwachten Projecttechnicus water-grond onderzoek
Wij zoeken een collega die geïnteresseerd is in grootschalig fysisch experimenteel onderzoek in onze onderzoeksfaciliteit. Jij gaat helpen bij experimenten die betrekking hebben op grond-mechanische processen en op de interactie tussen water en bodem in rivieren, meren, zeeën en oceanen. Voorbeelden van recente experimenten zijn het testen van Warmte Koude Opslag, het ontwikkelen en testen van diverse aspecten van de bouw van windmolenparken op zee en het beschermen van kabel- en leidinginfrastructuur op de zeebodem.
Jij bent hoofdzakelijk hands-on bezig met het opbouwen van de werkelijke fysieke proefopstelling in de Water- en Grondgoot van Deltares (zie ook onze faciliteitenpagina). Samen met wetenschappelijk onderzoekers en de klant vertaal je de onderzoeksvragen naar het ontwerp van een proefopstelling (inclusief aspecten als materiaalkeuze, maatvoering), verzorg je de bouw en begeleid je de uiteindelijke uitvoering van experimenten of voert ze zelfstandig uit.
Overige werkzaamheden:
Je hoeft niet alle taken al te beheersen. Er is genoeg ruimte bij ons om verder te ontwikkelen.
Als projecttechnicus ben je ook verantwoordelijk voor het onderhouden van de experimentele faciliteiten. Heb je ideeën of verbetervoorstellen in de werkprocessen rond de bouw en uitvoering van experimenten? Dan zijn deze uiteraard zeer welkom.
