The Medical Education Lead (Sports Medicine) for Iberia is responsible for leading strategic medical education initiatives and KOL engagement activities across Spain and Portugal. This role focuses on developing impactful professional education programs that support clinical excellence, product adoption, customer engagement, and long-term business growth.
The individual will work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, Medical Education, and EEMEA stakeholders to design and execute high-value educational strategies, strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders, and support product launch initiatives through targeted scientific and clinical engagement. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong stakeholder management capabilities, and the ability to translate market and customer insights into effective educational and engagement plans aligned with regional business priorities.
What You Will Do:
Know the market positioning and strengths/weaknesses of key competitors.
Lead development of educational and promotional content in collaboration with HCPs and cross-functional stakeholders
Own program development using the guidance from others
Collaborate with key stakeholders, close cross functional collaboration with broader Medical Education/ product marketing/SE, etc.
Build and manage strategic KOL relationships across Iberia
Coordinate faculty engagement and speaker development
Lead educational delivery for all product launch activities, sales promotion, marketing initiatives and physician/nurse and field sale training
Provide field support on all product promotions and field incentive programs specific to product line.
Organize and promote classroom/virtual educational programs. Collaborate with EU Sales enablement colleagues to deliver best in class internal trainings.
Identify what we want to measure/track and most appropriate method
Strategic Vision-strong understanding of our medical education and business strategy. Individual starts to provide input to future strategy.
Assemble budget worksheets, maintain log of expenses and final budget analysis.
Identity opportunities to decrease costs by evaluating current program, processes and associated costs.
Cascade divisional/medical education branding and strategy
Share content and messaging in partnership with Marketing Communications and utilize most effective platform
Required
Bachelor’s degree
4+ years of work experience
2+ years in marketing, medical education within medical device/Healthcare.
Interpersonal and relationship management skills / ability to work independently and in collaboration: team oriented/ verbal and written communication skills
Excellent presentation and interpersonal communications skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong business acumen and customer centric mindset
Experience managing cross-functional projects or multiple projects while delivering on established timelines
Experience with digital education tools and omnichannel engagement preferred
Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority
Must be able to understand and work within complex interdivisional procedures and policies
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
Fluent Spanish and English required
Experience across Iberian healthcare systems preferred
