Chevy Chase Acura, a family-owned and award-winning dealership proudly serving the Washington, DC metropolitan area since 1939, is seeking a motivated Sales Manager to help lead and develop our sales team while driving vehicle acquisition efforts and supporting the continued growth of our pre-owned operation.
We understand that acquiring the right inventory is the foundation of a successful Pre-owned operation. In this role, you’ll be responsible for identifying, appraising, negotiating, and purchasing quality vehicles through customer trade-ins, service-drive opportunities, private-party sellers, internet leads, and digital acquisition platforms.
We’re looking for someone who is competitive, analytical, customer-focused, and motivated to build one of the strongest pre-owned inventories in the market.
Lead, coach, and support Sales Consultants to achieve individual and dealership sales goals.
Assist with desking deals, customer negotiations, closing opportunities, and maximizing profitability.
Monitor CRM activity, lead follow-up, appointments, and overall sales team performance.
Identify and acquire quality pre-owned vehicles through trade-ins, private-party purchases, service-drive opportunities, internet leads, and off-street acquisitions.
Conduct accurate vehicle appraisals using market data, vehicle history, wholesale trends, and dealership inventory needs.
Negotiate vehicle purchases while balancing acquisition cost, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
Manage and follow up with acquisition leads from KBB Instant Cash Offer, Acura Accelerated Purchase Program, CRM, and other lead sources.
Monitor market trends, inventory levels, aging, and competitor pricing to identify acquisition opportunities.
Work closely with Sales, Service, Finance, and Recon teams to support sales performance and move inventory efficiently to retail.
Meet or exceed monthly sales, acquisition, gross profit, and inventory objectives.
Previous automotive experience in vehicle acquisitions, appraising, used vehicle management, F&I, or automotive sales.
Strong understanding or willing to learn of vehicle valuation, market trends, wholesale pricing, and inventory management.
Experience with tools such as vAuto, Kelley Blue Book ICO, Acura Accelerated Purchase Program, CARFAX, AutoCheck, or similar platforms is preferred.
Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing multiple opportunities at once.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven dealership environment.
Proficiency with dealership CRM and DMS systems.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
