The Forklift Operator is responsible for the safe receipt, storage, and shipment of food products using various forklift and pallet equipment. Key duties include loading/unloading freight, assembling orders, and maintaining a clean work environment in compliance with OSHA standards.
A high school diploma or GED and three months of related experience are preferred. Candidates must be able to work in extreme cold temperatures, lift up to 70 lbs, and operate heavy machinery at heights up to 30 feet.
Under general supervision, the Forklift Operator will ensure safe and accurate receipt, storage, and shipment of food products utilizing equipment including, but not limited to, sit down and stand-up forklifts, high-reach forklifts, stand-up straddle trucks, walk behinds, pallet jacks, double pallet jacks and radio frequency equipment.
