The Assistant Trailer Technician is responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining trailers to ensure operational efficiency and DOT compliance. Key tasks include troubleshooting electrical and mechanical malfunctions, performing body repairs, and conducting light maintenance.
Candidates must have a High School Diploma or GED and between 6 months to two years of mechanic experience or training. Meeting FMCSA section CFR 396.17 inspector qualifications is required, and a Licensed Mechanic Journeyman certification is preferred.
