Manage supplier commodities to ensure high-quality production and transport of Body in White components to assembly plants. Lead APQP/PPAP activities and perform supplier audits to drive continuous improvement throughout the component life cycle.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Must be able to travel up to 40% within the NAFTA region and be proficient in Microsoft Office.
The Body Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for managing a deck of commodities for the different supplier locations and parts to ensure high quality products are produced and transported to Stellantis Assembly Plants. The SQE will provide on-site launch support at suppliers' facilities to ensure launch readiness as required, leading up to and including program launch. They will also be responsible for assisting and leading post launch continuous improvement activities and provide on-site support at STELLANTIS assembly plants as required. The SQE will also be responsible for working cross functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing to ensure proper designs, suppliers, and manufacturing processes are selected. Typical parts may include any of the following: general stampings, hot stamping, welding, closures, hinges, sealing, vision and lighting, exterior trim, and electro-mechanical parts. Within our Supplier Quality Engineer role, the SQE role will also have direct involvement with the full life cycle of components from early development, sourcing, launch phase and into production.
