At the School of Business and Economics, we are looking for an Event Coordinator who enjoys bringing people together and creating events that leave a lasting impression.
Event Coordinator – School of Business and Economics (SBE)
Our goal: Create engaging events that strengthen the visibility, reputation and community of the School of Business and Economics.

To continue building meaningful experiences, we are looking for an Event Coordinator who combines organisation with creativity and communication.
What you do
As an event coordinator, your main tasks will include:
Event operations:
Plan and manage different events. This includes tasks such as managing registration, coming up with a programme and creative activities, managing external suppliers, coordinating event personnel, speaker coordination, etc.
Oversee event budgets, monitor costs, and ensure financial accountability.
Collect feedback and evaluate event outcomes for continuous improvement.
Event communication:
Work with event management and registration systems (Swoogo, Momice)
Basic use of CRM systems linked to the events (Microsoft Dynamics)
Work with email marketing tools (Spotler)
Manage communication channels (SCALA, Social Media)
Work with Canva using existing templates and brand guidelines used in event communication
Adapt presentations decks for events (PowerPoint, Canva)
Together with your colleagues, you build events that not only run smoothly, but also strengthen relationships, support recruitment goals and contribute to the strategic ambitions of SBE.
Are you ready to help shape memorable experiences for our community? Then we would love to meet you.
What you bring
It’s not about ticking boxes – it’s about who you are and what you bring. Do you recognise yourself in the following?
An organised multitasker – You enjoy coordinating multiple projects and stakeholders while maintaining overview, structure and quality.
A natural connector – You communicate confidently with colleagues, suppliers, speakers and participants and build positive relationships with ease.
Digitally confident – You feel comfortable working with event management systems, CRM platforms and communication tools, and quickly learn new applications.
Calm under pressure – You stay focused during busy periods, adapt to changing priorities and find practical solutions when challenges arise.
Creative and detail-oriented – You have an eye for presentation and participant experience, and you enjoy bringing ideas to life.
Collaborative by nature – You enjoy working in a team environment and understand how strong collaboration contributes to successful events.
Experienced in coordination – You bring at least two years of experience in event coordination, project coordination or a similar role and know how to turn plans into results.
We specifically welcome candidates to apply who have experience or affinity with visual communication and graphic tools, such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite. Also candidates with technical proficiency and confidence in using digital tools, event management software and AV equipment are preferred. English is the primary working language for this role; knowledge of Dutch is an advantage.
