About this Position
Henkel Adhesives is on the search for a driven and commercially minded Account Manager to join our New Zealand team. In this role, you will contribute to the development and execution of growth strategies across the construction and industrial market segments, working closely with key distributor partners to drive sales performance, profitability, and long-term business growth.
As the key New Zealand contact for the Australia and New Zealand sales leadership team, you will play an important role in aligning local and regional priorities while managing day-to-day relationships with our exclusive distributor and selected distribution partners. What you´ll do
Contribute to the development and execution of the New
Zealand sales strategy, driving sustainable growth in revenue and
profitability.
Manage the national distributor relationship, ensuring sales
and margin targets are consistently achieved.
Plan and implement promotional and sales initiatives to
increase market share, sales performance, and customer engagement.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor
partners, providing support, resolving issues, and identifying growth
opportunities.
Collaborate with key distributors on strategic projects,
including product range and SKU alignment initiatives.
Prepare accurate sales reports, forecasts, and market
insights to support business planning and decision-making.
Work closely with supply chain and cross-functional teams to
ensure product availability and maintain high levels of customer service.
Proactively manage supply-related matters, including
forecasting, backorders, and inventory planning, while participating in
integrated business planning processes.
What makes you a good fit
Strong experience in sales, marketing, and budgeting within
a commercial or account management environment.
Proven background in retail or industrial account
management, ideally working with distributor networks.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills with a strong
understanding of customer and distributor needs.
Tenacious, proactive, and approachable with the ability to
build and maintain strong relationships.
Strong leadership capability with solid project management
skills and the ability to drive initiatives end-to-end.
Trade qualification is highly desirable, though not
mandatory, with mechanical or technical training considered an advantage.
