Fuel Truck Helper
Position Overview
The Fuel Truck Helper supports daily fueling and equipment service operations by assisting the Fuel Truck Driver with fueling, lubrication, and basic maintenance support for heavy equipment and field operations. This role helps ensure construction equipment remains properly serviced, organized, and available to support daily project activities.
Responsibilities:
Assist the Fuel Truck Helper with fueling and lubrication of heavy equipment, trucks, and machinery.
Support daily operations on active construction sites while following all safety procedures.
Help perform routine equipment inspections and identify potential maintenance concerns.
Maintain accurate records of fuel usage, lubrication, and service activities.
Assist with basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of fuel and lubricants.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, truck, tools, and equipment.
Follow all safety policies, procedures, and environmental requirements.
Communicate equipment issues or service needs to supervisors and mechanics.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in construction, equipment maintenance, fueling, or general labor preferred.
Ability to safely work around heavy construction equipment and active job sites.
Basic knowledge of equipment maintenance, fueling, and lubrication practices preferred.
Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
Must be physically capable of performing manual labor in various environments and conditions, including heavy lifting (over 50 lbs.).
Strong interpersonal competencies, including reliability, teamwork, communication, organization, and accountability.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license and meet company driving requirements.
Demonstrates strong housekeeping practices and maintains a clean, orderly work area.
Willingness and flexibility to undertake regional travel throughout Texas and surrounding areas as needed to support field operations, equipment servicing, and job site activities, including occasional overnight stays.
