The RN provides comprehensive care to patients before and after surgery, including preparing them for procedures and monitoring recovery until discharge. Responsibilities include administering medications, managing pain, and coordinating with the surgical team to ensure patient safety.
Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing school with a valid RN license and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. A Bachelor's or Master's degree and at least two years of nursing experience, particularly in an Ambulatory Surgery Center, are preferred.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of Clinical Leadership the PreOp/PACU RN provides comprehensive care to patients before and after surgery, ensuring their safety and well-being throughout the perioperative period. This includes preparing patients for surgery, monitoring vital signs and overall condition until point of discharge. Provide appropriate assessment of physical, psychosocial/family, cultural, personal beliefs or restrictions, cognitive abilities, and pain and comfort needs. Maintain open communication with all staff to promote improvement in performance and quality care.
This is a full-time position! Monday - Friday; NO calls; NO weekends and Holidays off!
