Serve as a member of the clinical support team providing care for patients with acute and chronic gastroenterology conditions. Work closely with providers, nurses, and patient service representatives to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Requires a high school diploma and completion of a competency-based medical assistant training program. Must obtain BLS certification within 90 days and a recognized Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or NRCMA) within 120 days.
The gastroenterology practice sees patients for acute and chronic situations. Patients of this clinic may be long term patients or be seen for consultations of a one-time situation. Many patients are referred to our space for evaluation of illnesses ranging from esophageal issues, pancreas and liver conditions to lower abdominal symptoms, Crohn’s, Colitis, as well as Liver Diseases and Cancer.

The providers, nurses, medical assistants, and patient service representatives all work very closely together to make sure our patients receive the best care possible. Practice leadership strives to make the environment a safe, open, and honest place to work where everyone can have fun and enjoy coming to work.
