The Mohs Technician is responsible for preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination by a Pathologist or Mohs Surgeon. They also maintain laboratory equipment, manage inventory, and ensure accurate tissue manipulation and mapping for timely patient diagnosis.
Candidates must hold an Associate or Bachelor’s degree with specific semester hours in science, including chemistry and biology. Previous experience in medical dermatology, laboratory work, and Mohs surgery is preferred.

Tareen Dermatology is excited to expand into Grand Forks, North Dakota, with the opening of our newest clinic in September 2026. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mohs Technician to join our growing team and play a key role in supporting our Mohs micrographic surgery program.
This unique opportunity offers the chance to be part of a new clinic launch, work closely with our Mohs surgeons and pathology team, and contribute to providing exceptional skin cancer care to patients throughout the region. Schedule: Monday – Friday, daytime hours. No evenings, weekends, or holidays
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in a clinic and lab settings.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch; talk, hear and smell. The employee must be able to sit for 90% of the workday. The employee must be able to lift or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
