The CT Technologist performs diagnostic imaging exams while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and accurate documentation. They also assist radiologists, manage pharmaceutical dosages, and maintain image quality within the PACS system.
Candidates must hold or be eligible for North Dakota radiographer licensure and obtain ARRT certifications in radiography and CT within specified timeframes. Proficiency in English and the ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting and positioning patients are required.

Provides the patient and family with appropriate education to optimize their understanding within scope of responsibility.
Assures that a proper order is received prior to an exam performance and collects pertinent information prior to performing exam. Assists the Radiologist/physician with patient exams and notifies them of changes to the patient that may alter exam protocol and performance.
Reviews images for quality and completeness. Verifies that all images are on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) with appropriate paperwork scanned in and distributes exam for interpretation to appropriate radiologist at completion of exam.
Demonstrates regard for patients' safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization, and positioning of patient.
Prepares pharmaceutical vials for injection, calculates and measures dosage accurately, and administers orally or by intravenous injection (IV) the correct diagnostic or therapeutic dosage and completes all required records. Maintains accurate and complete record of all material received, dispensed, decayed and disposed of.
Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
