The Respiratory Therapist performs patient assessments using pulmonary diagnostics and operates specialized ventilators in critical and non-critical care settings. They provide medication treatments, educate patients on disease management, and collaborate with other departments to ensure patient safety.
Candidates must have an associate degree from an accredited respiratory care program and a state RCP license. Required certifications include an active RRT or CRT credential and BLS for Healthcare Providers from the AHA.
