Role Details
United Dental Partners is seeking a highly adaptable, organized, and customer-focused Traveling Front Desk & Administrative Support Specialist to provide coverage and operational support throughout all UDP locations as business needs require. This role serves as a flexible resource for the organization, assisting offices with front desk operations, administrative support, patient service, scheduling, and other office functions to ensure continuity of care and an exceptional patient experience.
This position does not have a fixed work location or schedule. The individual must be available to travel to any UDP office location based on staffing and operational needs. Travel between offices is a core function of this role, and mileage reimbursement will be provided in accordance with company policy.
The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in all lines of business within UDP, including General Dentistry, Orthodontics, and Oral Surgery, and possesses the ability to quickly adapt to different office environments, teams, and workflows.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Front Desk Operations
Provide front desk coverage at any UDP location as assigned.
Greet patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
Register new patients and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
Verify and update patient demographics, insurance information, and health histories.
Collect payments and maintain accurate financial transaction records.
Ensure a positive patient experience while maintaining high standards of customer service.
Appointment Scheduling & Management
Schedule and manage appointments efficiently using Open Dental.
Optimize provider schedules to maximize patient flow and office productivity.
Send appointment reminders and assist with reducing no-shows and cancellations.
Assist offices with scheduling backlogs and patient communication efforts.
Telephone & Patient Communication
Handle incoming calls and direct inquiries appropriately.
Make outbound calls to schedule appointments and follow up with patients.
Respond professionally to emails, voicemails, and online inquiries.
Provide accurate information regarding treatment services, insurance coverage, and office policies.
Administrative Support
Assist office leadership and team members with administrative tasks as needed.
Support data entry, filing, record management, and reporting functions.
Maintain reception area organization and ensure office supplies are stocked.
Assist with special projects, office initiatives, and operational needs across UDP locations.
Serve as an additional resource to offices during periods of staffing shortages, increased patient volume, or special circumstances.
Assist with QC for all lines of business.

Support UDP's commitment to providing exceptional patient experiences throughout all locations.
Travel Expectations
Travel to all UDP office locations as needed to support operational and staffing requirements.
Maintain flexibility to work varying schedules and locations based on business needs.
Possess reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Mileage will be reimbursed according to company policy.
