Become part of the team at Miami Valley Hospital’s Emergency and Trauma Center. We are a 848 bed tertiary care facility, and the home of Care Flight Air and Mobile Transport Services for over 30 years. As the busiest adult ER in the state of Ohio, we deliver excellent and compassionate care to over 90,000 patients per year. As a comprehensive stroke center and the region’s only Level I Trauma Center, Miami Valley Emergency and Trauma Center is the region’s leader.
The clinical nurse (CN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The CN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The CN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The CN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The CN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others.
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio RN license Experience: 1 year of current acute care hospital-based RN experience is required. Knowledge/Skills: o Must be able to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor o Basic computer knowledge o Strong organizational skills o Effective interpersonal and communication skills
