You have direct influence on the flow of materials to produce and ship products to people so quality of life can be improved. The Logistics Associate is responsible for shipping/outbound distribution, receiving, storing, handling and or issuing all materials including but not limited to cGMP raw materials, NON-cGMP raw materials, Common Supply, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies, Work-in-Process (WIP), and Finished Goods Inventory (FGI).
What will you be doing?
Ensure proper storage and distribution of received materials under the guidance and direction of departmental SOP's/specifications.
Stage incoming raw materials for further processing.
Receive GxP raw material into inventory/ERP system.
Relocate staged and quarantined materials to appropriate areas, as directed
Perform and assist in performing physical inventories as required.
Maintain inventory accuracy by performing adjustments to documents and ERP.
Perform housekeeping as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
What will you need to be successful?
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience/expectations: Below
Working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook
Working knowledge of FEDEX, UPS and other online systems used in shipping processes.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Effective verbal and written communication skills to initiate and retrieve tracking information from carrier.

The anticipated base compensation range for this position is $20.19 - $30.28 USD hourly. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role at Smith + Nephew. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate. In addition to base pay, we provide competitive bonus and benefits, which include medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401k, tuition reimbursement, medical leave programs, parental leave, and generous PTO, paid company holidays annually and 8 hours of Volunteer time and a variety of wellness offerings such as EAP.
