The phlebotomist is responsible for performing venipuncture, collecting various specimen types, and preparing samples for laboratory testing. They also manage administrative tasks such as data entry, answering phones, and ensuring compliance with safety and HIPAA regulations.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of on-the-job phlebotomy experience. Strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to handle physical tasks like lifting up to 30 pounds are required.
