The Texas Behavioral Health Center is a newly completed state-funded psychiatric hospital opening in Dallas’ Southwestern Medical District that is owned by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) and operated by UT Southwestern Medical Center.
When fully operational, the 505,000-square-foot facility will house 292 beds – 200 for adult patients and 92 for children and adolescents. As DFW’s first state-funded behavioral health hospital, it is designed to deliver state-of-the-art, patient-centered care in a modern and healing environment. The center provides comprehensive behavioral health treatment and features private patient rooms, abundant access to natural light and nature, and thoughtfully designed spaces that promote recovery. The hospital will also provide training to all behavioral health disciplines.

JOB SUMMARY
Texas Behavioral Health Center is actively seeking an experienced Power Plant Operator II, Night Shift to support daily operation and maintenance of central plant equipment. This role performs journey‑level work with minimal supervision, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable operation of boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, water treatment systems, and building automation systems.
We are looking for someone with a minimum of three (3) years of paid work experience in Thermal, Power, Physical plant operations maintaining chillers, boilers, water treatment and BAS; technically skilled, safety‑focused, and proactive, with the ability to work independently, solve problems quickly, and maintain reliable plant operations in a fast‑paced environment.
Work Location: Dallas, Texas - onsite 100%25 of time.
Shift Requirement: Thursday start at 12:00 AM to 4:00 AM and back 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM, Thursday through Saturday, shift ends Sunday at 6:00 AM.
