The Systems Engineer will analyze user needs to develop system requirements, specifications, and concepts of operations. They will guide the full systems engineering life cycle, including design, implementation planning, and verification activities.
Requires an active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph and 14 years of systems engineering experience. A bachelor's degree in a technical field is required, though additional experience may be substituted.
Peraton is seeking a Systems Engineer to support our Cyber Mission business unit located in Annapolis Junction, MD. The team supports multiple products that automate manual tasks so that mission customers can focus on more complex issues. The team employs Agile methodologies and DevOps principles to ensure that high-quality, reliable software is delivered to the customer. The position is to be performed in a contractor facility which allows for flexible work schedules. In addition, the opportunity for teleworking is available based on tasking and customer approval.
The Systems Engineer Level 2 will analyze users’ needs, draft concepts of operations (CONOPS), and use high-level system architectures to develop system requirements and specifications. The candidate will analyze system requirements, participate in design and development activities, guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternative approaches, and conduct feasibility studies. The candidate will also plan and conduct system verification activities.
Additional responsibilities include the following:
Guiding system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system integration and test plans. Interact with Government stakeholders regarding systems engineering technical considerations, risks, issues, and conflicts. Communicating with other program personnel and government leadership.
