You will serve as the technical lead for electrical engineering projects, overseeing design deliverables, calculations, and multi-discipline team coordination. The role involves interfacing with clients, managing project budgets and schedules, and mentoring less experienced engineers.
Candidates must hold a BSEE degree from an ABET-accredited program and possess a current U.S. Professional Engineer (PE) license. A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical system design, specifically within nuclear or government sectors, and the ability to obtain a DOE Q-level security clearance are required.
Potential projects could include designing one-of-a-kind, first-of-a-kind, nuclear reactor facilities and particle physic laboratories. Project teams could include ten or more electrical engineers working together within much larger multi-discipline design teams.
This position will offer you the opportunity to be the technical lead of a project team consisting of engineers and designers involved in the design and analysis of new electrical systems supporting the development and testing of the next generation of nuclear science and research. You will lead a team on challenging assignments that include designing electrical distribution systems and new facilities containing laboratories, testing, and research areas that will require solving a wide variety of unique electrical engineering issues.
