Position Summary:
HII Mission Technologies has an immediate opportunity available for a Full-Time Mechanical Engineer. Will provide direct support within DLA Research and Development (R&D). This position may be near Fort Belvoir, VA, or remote.
Support the Defense Logistics Innovation Research and Military Unique Sustainment Technology R&D Programs for the Defense Logistics Agency. Works directly with senior technical personnel, program managers, and external organizations in the planning, oversight, execution, and evaluation of multiple complex technical solutions related to a program’s system and technical product development. Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of scientific principles and practices in broad areas across one or more technical disciplines. Maintains a liaison role for technical matters with staff and customers, and acts independently on technical issues within his/her field of expertise.
Advises program managers on challenging technical issues, coordinates the use of senior technical resources across the program on multi-disciplinary problems. Works with senior technical project members to periodically review technical plans, results, and work products.
Apply technology and program expertise to support various DLA R&D Program initiatives and projects.
