The Operations Mechanic provides support for hospital mechanical equipment and infrastructure, including chillers, compressors, and electrical systems. They perform daily rounds, preventative maintenance, and urgent repairs to ensure regulatory compliance and operational efficiency.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of training from a certified technical school. A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial building maintenance is required.
Provides support for all hospital mechanical equipment and infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to, Chillers, Compressors, PTAC units, BAS controls, Medical Air Gas Systems, plumbing fixtures, life safety, and electrical systems. Performs daily rounds to ensure that all building systems are operating properly. Performs preventative maintenance and work orders as assigned. Responds to house calls for all maintenance requests.

2. Assists with the performance of urgent, corrective, routine, preventative, and requisitioned repairs of electrical, mechanical and plumbing equipment and systems as directed by senior-level staff or supervisor.
3. Maintains routine records of all inspections, preventative maintenance and repairs performed on any equipment or system.

4. Make scheduled rounds of building areas, including the inspection of all lighting fixtures to assure proper function, to identify and resolve regulatory compliance deficiencies.
5. Performs manual duties as requested (i.e. moving supplies, furniture, replacing light bulbs, trash removal, etc).
6. Assigned to perform other duties in the following areas as directed: air conditioning, carpentry, electrical, painting, plant operations and plumbing.
