How you will make an Impact (Job Summary)
SPX is a diverse team of unique individuals who all make an impact. As a General Labor team member, you will play an important role in building high-quality industrial fans and blowers that support customers around the world.
You will perform a variety of production tasks—including assembly, material handling, paint line support, packaging, and machine operation—while working safely, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to a collaborative team environment. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new skills, and being part of a fast-paced manufacturing operation.
What you can expect in this role (Job Responsibilities)

Safety
Follow all safety rules and adhere to core value of business
Maintain general work areas and/or equipment used in a clean and orderly condition
Ensure proper and effective operation of machine and tools throughout entire process. Report repairs and/or issues to team lead or supervisor
Quality
Confirm material, sizes, and parts match work order/job tickets
Ensure all parts and surfaces are free from defects
Able to self-monitor quality of own work, and report to lead or supervisor unusual, defective, or operating difficulties
Complete all tasks and work within designed quality guidelines
Accurately document work performed using company required documents and procedures
Delivery
Load and unload materials, components, and finished goods from production equipment.
Hang and unhang moving parts from paint line.
Assemble products according to work instructions and engineering specifications.
Package and prepare finished products for shipment per customer requirements/work order.
Perform assigned production tasks while meeting established safety, quality, and productivity standards.

Required Experience
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance

Previous manufacturing, warehouse, construction, fabrication, or industrial experience
Experience operating forklifts, overhead cranes, or other material handling equipment

Experience using hand and power tools
