BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
B.S. in Software or Electrical Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent experience in a related field. MSEE is a plus.
7+ years of professional hands-on experience in Software Controls Engineering.
Up to 20% of travel may be required between locations.
Ability to travel for work-related purposes as needed; access to reliable transportation is required due to the nature of our business and multiple client sites.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Background checks are required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience programming industrial automation systems using PLCs, HMIs, and industrial software platforms.
Proficiency with several of the following:
PLCs: Rockwell (Allen-Bradley)
HMI/SCADA: Ignition
Industrial Robotics: FANUC, ABB, Epson, Denso
Motion Control, Vision Systems, and Industrial Networking
Familiarity with Python, C/C++, C#, or similar programming languages.
Experience with Windows, Linux, and virtual machine environments (VMware, Hyper-V, VirtualBox).
Experience commissioning and troubleshooting automated equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Design, program, test, and commission PLC and HMI software for custom automation systems.
Integrate automation components including robots, motion systems, vision systems, sensors, and safety devices.
Troubleshoot and support machine startup, commissioning, and customer acceptance testing.
Develop technical documentation including control specifications and software documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver complete automation solutions.
Lead controls engineering efforts on complex projects.
Mentor engineers and provide technical direction.
Support proposal development, project planning, and customer technical discussions.
