WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a Technical Developer with experience in socks, knitwear, or apparel to join the Nike Global Accessories Team. Experience with textiles, finishings, embellishments, trims, and graphic applications is highly desired. The ideal candidate is collaborative, versatile, and a creative problem solver.
The role requires a foundational understanding of the end-to-end product creation process, from concept through production. Responsibilities include interpreting design intent, building tech packs, and driving cross-functional collaboration to meet on-time delivery goals. The candidate will also provide technical recommendations that elevate craft and quality in service of our athletes and consumers, while communicating effectively in a fast-paced environment.

They are curious, adaptable, and accountable, with a commitment to continuous growth, openness to feedback, and respect for diverse perspectives, ideas, cultures, and technologies. 2+ years of directly relevant experience in apparel, knit, or accessories product development, with a strong focus on craft, quality, and manufacturability.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; experience with 3D software or knit programming systems is a plus.
Knowledge of knit product development process from concept through production, including yarns and raw materials, knit structures, costing, manufacturing, and machinery.
Ability to understand detailed product specifications that interpret design intent and propose alternative solutions when needed.
Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to thrive in a deadline-driven environment while managing multiple seasonal projects.
Ability to act as a technical resource, lead product review sessions with energy and positive influence, and apply problem-solving, decision-making, and attention to detail.
Ability to travel up to 5% (domestic and international).
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
The Technical Developer II will work on assigned styles within the Socks category. You will work closely with fellow Developers, Product Management & Design partners to update tech packs, collaborating with our cross-functional and factory partners to communicate design intent, materials, construction sketches, and graphic placements.
You will track and request prototypes, manage and meet calendar target dates, attend meetings that relate to their product’s development and communicate progress and challenges to their team and leadership as needed.
You will lead proto review sessions with cross-functional partners, collecting feedback and capturing comments that will lead to an on time confirmable buy-ready product.
