The lecturer will teach General or Organic Chemistry, including preparing course materials and presenting lectures. Responsibilities also include grading exams, holding office hours, and developing instructional design and curriculum.
A PhD in Chemistry or a related field is required along with previous experience teaching chemistry. Experience teaching at the college or university level is preferred.
Teach General Chemistry or Organic Chemistry.
Duties include:
- Preparing course materials
- Presenting lectures
- Preparing, administering, and grading exams and homework
- Holding office hours
- Other related duties
This is a 100% appointment for the 2026-2027 academic year. There is a possibility this position could be extended in subsequent semesters to teach General or Organic Chemistry, or similar courses, within the department. This position may become renewable if there is a need for an ongoing appointment.

The minimum salary for a full time (100%) position for an academic year (9
months) is $50,000.
Previous experience teaching Chemistry is required.
Previous experience teaching chemistry at the college/university level is preferred.
PhD in Chemistry or related fields is required
