We are looking for a proactive Business Operations Analyst to join our Internal Audit Strategy & Operations team. This role focuses on supporting the function’s use of technology and systems that underpin audit operations, offering a great opportunity to contribute to enabling audit through data, technology, and smarter ways of working.
You will play a hands-on role in the day-to-day management of audit systems, producing meaningful management information (MI), maintaining data quality, and supporting the adoption of new tools, including automation and AI. This role is key to ensuring the smooth and efficient running of Internal Audit by providing high-quality operational support across systems, MI reporting, and user training.
Working collaboratively across Internal Audit, you will help improve processes and enable more effective and efficient ways of working. You will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the overall effectiveness of the function.

This role sits within the Strategy & Operations (S&O) team—a small, central team that enables the audit function to operate effectively, stay aligned with organisational priorities, and continuously improve its impact. The team supports audit delivery while focusing on how Internal Audit operates and evolves, rather than conducting audits directly.
As a Principal Analyst within the Internal Audit Strategy & Operations team, you will support the effective delivery and ongoing improvement of audit operations. Your work will focus on strengthening the systems, data, and processes that underpin audit delivery, ensuring Internal Audit remains efficient, insightful, and future-ready.
You will contribute to the evolution of audit tools and technology, supporting enhancements that enable more data-driven decision-making and streamlined processes. This includes developing reporting, improving systems, and supporting the introduction of new digital capabilities such as automation and advanced analytics.
Working collaboratively across the audit function, you will support colleagues in adopting new tools and ways of working, while helping to maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and insight.

The working hours (per week) for this role can be between 28 and 35 hours.

If you are aligned to our Glasgow hub (as this is your nearest location), there will be a need to regularly connect and collaborate with colleagues. This is anticipated to be weekly in Glasgow.
