The Maintenance Technician is responsible for managing maintenance operations and ensuring the safety and sanitation of housing for residents. This includes performing mechanical repairs and interacting professionally with residents and site staff.
Candidates must possess a strong mechanical skillset and the ability to troubleshoot problems based on education and experience. Flexibility for on-call weekend work and a commitment to punctuality and attendance are required.
POSITION DESCRIPTION/SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Technician position requires versatile skills, adaptability and an eye to detail and time management. This position requires not only a vast mechanical skillset, but also very patient customer service and communications skills. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills that are based on both education and experience are key to managing maintenance operations for a multi-million-dollar property. The ideal candidate should be friendly, approachable, courteous, and patient while interacting with residents and entering their homes for required tasks. Courteous and effective communication between all site staff is imperative to the cohesiveness of the team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of responsibility and loyalty to the integrity of the property assets as well as adherence to the mission of providing safe and sanitary housing to the residents. Regular and consistent punctuality and attendance are required for success in this role. Must be willing to work flexible hours including weekends for on-call.
This position reports to the Area Property Supervisor.
