The Customer Data & Analytics team transforms enterprise data into actionable insights that drive customer success, operational excellence, and strategic business outcomes. Partnering across Customer Success, Software Support, Product Management, Business Operations, and Executive Leadership, the team delivers reporting, analytics, performance measurement, and data-driven recommendations that improve customer experiences and business performance.
Leveraging modern analytics platforms, business intelligence technologies, and advanced data strategies, we help leaders understand customer health, product adoption, operational efficiency, and business trends. This role offers the opportunity to serve as a senior operational and analytics subject matter expert who helps improve business processes, strengthen reporting standards, and translate complex data into practical recommendations that enable smarter decisions and exceptional customer outcomes.
Position Summary
NCR Atleos is seeking a Business Operations Senior Specialist to join the Customer Data & Analytics team within the Customer Success Management (CSM) organization. This role will support strategic projects and enterprise-level initiatives that enhance business operations, reporting maturity, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
The Business Operations Senior Specialist will design and deliver advanced reporting solutions, apply analytical techniques to complex datasets, and help establish best practices for data analysis, operational processes, and documentation. This role will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leaders to identify improvement opportunities, troubleshoot operational challenges, and provide insights that support customer success, software support, product adoption, and business operations. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical depth, process improvement experience, technical reporting skills, and the ability to mentor colleagues and influence outcomes.
Key Areas of Responsibility
• Lead strategic projects and initiatives that improve business operations across customer success, software support, product usage, and business operations functions.
• Design, build, and maintain advanced dashboards, scorecards, and reporting solutions using industry-standard business intelligence tools.
• Apply advanced analytical techniques to evaluate complex datasets, identify trends, and uncover actionable insights for operational and leadership decision-making.
• Develop, implement, and maintain best practices for data analysis, reporting, documentation, and operational processes.
• Identify and drive improvements in efficiency, quality, cost savings, data consistency, and overall business performance.
• Partner with business leaders, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate business needs into reporting solutions, process improvements, and strategic recommendations.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, governance, and consistency across reporting platforms, workflows, and operational documentation.
• Lead adoption of new analytical tools, data transformation technologies, and reporting methodologies that scale team capabilities.
• Support risk management activities and troubleshoot issues for customer-facing or internal projects.
• Document technical requirements, process standards, knowledge guides, and onboarding materials to improve employee and customer understanding.
• Provide expertise, coaching, and mentorship to less experienced colleagues through effective communication, knowledge sharing, and peer support.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of related experience in business operations, data analysis, reporting, process improvement, or a similar analytical operations role.
• Experience designing and delivering dashboards, reports, scorecards, and operational metrics using Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence platforms.
• Advanced analytical skills with experience working with complex datasets and translating findings into actionable recommendations.
• Proficiency with SQL, database management concepts, data transformation methods, or similar analytical tools and systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex information clearly to customers, stakeholders, and senior leaders.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, prioritization, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master's degree in a related discipline.
• Experience within customer success, software support, fintech, banking, payments, or SaaS environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Databricks, SQL Server, Snowflake, Python, or modern data transformation/ETL platforms.
• Experience with ITSM processes and supporting tools, including process documentation, issue analysis, and operational troubleshooting.
• Experience with data governance, data quality, reporting standards, and scalable analytics adoption.
• Relevant analytics, agile, project management, cloud, or data engineering certifications.
• Experience leveraging AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power BI Copilot, or Fabric Copilot to improve productivity, reporting, documentation, or analysis.
