Role Overview
The Deouty Manager – Interior Design will support the design development, coordination, and execution of interior design projects across residential, clubhouse, and commercial spaces. The role involves working closely with consultants, cross-functional teams, and site teams to ensure design intent is maintained through all stages—from concept to GFC and execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Management
Review and coordinate design concepts, layouts, and presentations from ID consultants.
Ensure alignment with project brief, brand guidelines, and cost parameters.
Participate in design discussions and provide inputs for optimization of space planning and functionality.
Effective communication with zonal teams.
Monitor weekly project updates and deliverables to ensure adherence to defined timelines in tracker.
2. Drawing Review & Documentation
Review drawings across stages (Concept, Schematic, Tender, GFC).
Ensure drawings are complete, coordinated, and execution ready.
Validate layouts, sections, elevations, detailing, and material specifications.
3. Consultant Coordination
Liaise with interior design consultants and other discipline consultants for timely delivery of drawings and revisions.
Conduct regular review meetings and close design gaps.
4. Site Coordination & Execution Support
Coordinate with site teams to ensure design implementation as per approved drawings.
Conduct site visits to monitor quality, finishes, and detailing.
Resolve site-level design issues in coordination with consultants.
5. MEP & Cross-Discipline Coordination
Ensure integration of interior design with MEP, structure, Landscape and architecture.
Identify and resolve clashes during design and execution stages.
6. BOQ & Budget Control
Assist in preparation and validation of BOQs.
Ensure design solutions are aligned with budget and value engineering principles.
7. Material & Vendor Coordination
Review and finalize material selections, mock-ups, and samples.
Coordinate with vendors for specifications and approvals.
8. Quality & Compliance
Ensure adherence to GPL design standards, safety norms, and accessibility requirements.
Maintain documentation and approvals for audit and record.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of interior design principles and detailing.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp/Revit, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Good knowledge of materials, finishes, and construction techniques.
Coordination and stakeholder management skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
Working knowledge of AI tools and emerging technologies in design (such as AI-based visualization, rendering, space planning assistance, to enhance design efficiency and decision-making.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in interior design / architecture.
10-12 years of experience in interior design (real estate / hospitality/Consulting background preferred).
Reporting To
Manager / Senior Manager – Interior Design.
