About Rivian
Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract.
As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations.
Role Summary
The Producer role serves an integral function within our production team as both supportive player and leader in facilitating the creation of both internal and external photography & video content. This role requires strong organizational skills, flexibility to react to fast timelines, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects at once. The Producer will ensure content is delivered on time, within budget, and adhering to the brand’s guidelines and vision. This is a hands-on role with opportunities to contribute creatively and strategically to Rivian’s storytelling efforts.
This role will be hybrid, convenient to our Southern California offices.
Responsibilities
Support end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of major brand content productions, serving as a key partner to Executive Producers while independently owning complex creative projects across internal communications and high-impact marketing campaigns.
Drive cross-functional production workflows from concept through final delivery, partnering with creative production peers, internal stakeholders, and external partners to secure crews, talent, locations, and production vendors.
Share core production responsibilities, including vendor onboarding, purchase orders, invoicing, and related administrative processes, ensuring projects move forward efficiently while staying compliant with internal requirements.
Establish and maintain best practices for content archiving and asset management, ensuring raw footage, project files, and final assets are organized, logged, stored, and named according to Rivian brand and operational standards.
Oversee onsite gear and hardware management for the Southern California office, ensuring equipment readiness, organization, and accountability.
Manage production schedules, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation across multiple projects, proactively identifying risks and driving solutions to keep work on track.
Partner with marketing, vehicle design, and other internal teams to define content needs, align on objectives, and ensure successful delivery of final assets to stakeholders.
Lead key aspects of the post-production process, including feedback consolidation, edit coordination, music search and licensing, and final asset delivery.
Oversee shoot logistics end to end, including talent coordination and contracts, equipment rentals, location management, and overall production readiness.
Contribute strategic ideas that improve production processes, increase team effectiveness, and elevate the quality and impact of Rivian storytelling.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
5-6 years of experience in video production
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Curiosity to research, understand and contribute to the Rivian brand story
Comfort taking ownership of multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
Strong team-oriented mindset, able to embrace flexible work across time zones and collaborate to get the work done.
The capacity to thrive in dynamic and ambiguous environments, while being flexible, collaborative, and reliable
Ability to follow quick and ambiguous instructions and deliver against them
Excellent organization and adherence to deadlines; you are the glue holding team members accountable and keeping projects on track
Proficiency with Google Workspace, Excel, Keynote, Figma, & Frame.IO
