Job DetailsJob Location: Marietta, OH 45750Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: 8-Hour Day ShiftJob Category: Clerical SupportIn an environment of continuous quality improvement, the Residency Coordinator is responsible for all activities related to medical education, intern and resident educational programs. Exhibits the MHS Standards of Excellence and exercises strict confidentiality at all times.
Job Functions:
Manages and coordinates the Residency program as directed by the Program Director.
Directs the work flow and supervises the necessary administrative paperwork, records and maintains complex filing system for the program.
Coordinates the ACGME Accreditation survey process and reporting requirements to external agencies.
Manages the recruitment of residents which includes serving as a representative of the program; arranging interviews; and submission of names for the MATCH process.
Provides administrative support for the residents and core faculty which includes orientation, curriculum and schedules, etc.
Maintains knowledge of current medical licensure requirements, immigration policies, ACGME accreditation requirements.
Assumes all other duties and responsibilities as necessary.
QualificationsMinimum Education/Experience Required:
Associate degree or equivalent experience (3 years experience in secretarial, medical office or human resources).
Special Knowledge, Skills, Training:
Must demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to communicate with students; interns; physicians; and senior administrative staff.
Must be able to function independently; prioritize assignments and deal with stressful situations.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Compensation Details: Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
