The role involves triaging community issues, fixing critical bugs, and implementing feature requests for the Zed code editor. You will also review contributor pull requests and collaborate with the community to improve GitHub processes.
Candidates must be proficient in Rust and possess strong programming and problem-solving abilities. Effective English communication skills and a passion for open-source collaborative development are required.
Zed is a next-generation code editor that's engineered from scratch in Rust to be fast, elegant, and collaborative. As our community grows, so does our backlog of issues and feature requests. We're looking for talented developers to help us tackle these challenges by joining our team.
You'll be part of Zed's Open Source team who's responsible for triaging issues, communicating with our users, fixing critical bugs, working on features requested by the community, reviewing contributor pull requests, and more.
