Responsibilities

Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems to ensure production continuity. Execute metal fabrication and design solutions for process improvements while operating heavy machinery and shop tools.

Requirements

Mechanical or Mill Wright experience is required, with electrical troubleshooting skills preferred. Candidates must be competent in welding, cutting, and the rebuilding of industrial components like gearboxes and pumps.

Full job description

Primary Duties:

  • Display commitment to safety both for themselves and coworkers.
  • Competent in cutting and welding, use of torch, and use of heat applications.
  • Knowledge of drive gears, belts, and sprockets.
  • Experience with rebuilding gear boxes, pumps, hammer mills, and airlocks.
  • Understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical driven systems.
  • Can perform advanced troubleshooting procedures in the event of a breakdown.
  • Has basics skills in metal fabrication and design solutions for process improvements.
  • Understands the use of shop tools and fabrication equipment.
  • Can be available for after-hours repair calls when needed.
  • Identifies continuous improvements in maintenance and production processes.
  • Operates as needed man lifts, forklifts, loaders, and trucks.
  • Demonstrates good judgement and common sense in decision making.
  • Arrives on time ready to begin working at assigned work center.

 

Non-Essential Duties:

  • Maintains an excellent attendance record.
  • Displays excellent Interpersonal Skills (positive attitude, team player, leadership, mentorship, etc.)
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.

 

Experience:

  • Mill Wright experience preferred.
  • Mechanical or Mill Wright experience required.
  • Pay will be based off work experience.
  • Electrical troubleshooting and experience preferred.
