Perform diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment, specifically electric shovels and drills. Conduct work area examinations to identify and correct hazardous conditions to ensure personnel safety.
Candidates must have a strong mechanical and welding background with the ability to lift 50 lbs and work in adverse weather. A proven safe work record and excellent attendance are required.
Primary Duties:
Conduct work area exam for assigned area(s) to identify hazardous conditions that may pose a danger to personnel and take necessary steps to correct identified conditions.
Inspect equipment and perform diagnostics tests, including the use of scanners and other electronic/mechanical testing equipment.
Repair heavy equipment including electric shovels and various drills, including preventive maintenance, rebuilds and breakdowns.
Fill in for the fuel and lube truck as needed, including required weekends.
Perform other duties as assigned
Hours: Primarily day shift, Monday through Friday. Some weekend and afternoon shift work required.
Applicants will be expected to work overtime and call-outs when necessary. Schedule is subject to change.
