The Site Coordinator is the foundational leader and lead educator for Leona Connected Academy’s new online Plano campus. This is a unique, hybrid startup role that blends school leadership, direct classroom instruction, and grassroots student recruitment. Working closely alongside one dedicated Teacher Assistant, the Site Coordinator will be the face of the academy, driving enrollment while establishing a standard of academic excellence and a positive school culture. This full-time, year-round position is perfect for an entrepreneurial educator who is passionate about building a school community from the ground up and ensuring its long-term operational and academic sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Startup Growth, Enrollment & Community Engagement

Spearhead Student Recruitment: Lead aggressive grassroots marketing, student recruitment, and enrollment initiatives to build the foundational student body.
Community Ambassador: Serve as the primary face of Leona Connected Academy in Plano, developing strong partnerships with local families, community organizations, and stakeholders.
Family Onboarding: Drive student retention by building deep, trusting relationships with parents and students from the moment of inquiry through enrollment and daily attendance.
Brand Building: Promote the school’s unique private school mission and programs through continuous outreach and local engagement efforts.

Direct Teaching & Academic Leadership

Lead by Teaching: Provide direct, high-quality instruction to students while simultaneously managing site leadership duties.
Curriculum Implementation: Ensure the effective delivery of curriculum, assessments, and intervention programs tailored to individual student needs.
Data-Driven Instruction: Analyze student achievement data to identify learning trends, guide instructional decisions, and ensure continuous academic growth.
Visionary Leadership: Develop and execute a clear vision for teaching, learning, and student success that aligns with Leona Group Schools' strategic priorities.

Operations & Team Management

Site Operations: Oversee daily school operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for students and families.
Team Collaboration: Partner with and provide daily direction to the site's Teacher Assistant, fostering a highly collaborative, "all-hands-on-deck" team culture.
Compliance & Administration: Ensure accurate record-keeping, documentation, and compliance with all local and state private school requirements.
Resource Stewardship: Collaborate with Leona Group network leadership on budgeting, resource allocation, and daily campus operations.

QualificationsEducation & Clearances

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Valid teaching certification and/or administrative certification preferred.
Must pass a Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) fingerprint-based background check.

Experience

Minimum of five years of successful educational experience, including direct classroom teaching.
Demonstrated experience in a startup environment, program launch, or leading grassroots enrollment and recruitment efforts is highly desirable.
Experience managing, leading, or coaching staff (experience maximizing a small team is a major plus).
Demonstrated success improving student achievement through data-driven instructional practices.
Experience in private schools, charter schools, or alternative education settings preferred.
