Develop and enhance PaaS backend systems, API Gateways, and signaling systems for the Vonage Video Platform. Focus on scalable architecture, distributed computing, and integrating AI-assisted engineering into daily workflows.
Requires strong proficiency in Java 17 or C++, along with a solid understanding of memory management, concurrency, and data structures. Experience with cloud-native tools like Kubernetes, AWS, and message brokers is highly preferred.
We’re seeking a Software Engineer to join our Cloud Engineering team and help drive innovation across the Vonage Video Platform. This role will focus on enhancing our PaaS backend systems, improving cloud resource control and provisioning, and contributing to scalable architecture design and distributed computing solutions.
As part of the team, you’ll contribute to both new feature development and backend system improvements, with a strong focus on quality, fault tolerance, and performance. You’ll gain hands-on experience with real-time communications, and use data to help improve how we build and scale our services.
This is a great opportunity to grow your skills by working on large-scale, highly available systems alongside a team of experienced engineers who are passionate about cloud infrastructure, media technologies, and real-time communication.
