Implement a developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive curriculum for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Collaborate with a co-teacher to manage classroom activities, assess child progress, and foster strong partnerships with families.
Must be Lead Infant Toddler Qualified by EEC with a Bachelor's Degree and at least 30 college credits in Early Childhood Education. Requires a minimum of 2 years of successful teaching experience in a toddler or preschool setting.

Job Summary
UTEC seeks an experienced and caring early childhood educator to teach in our new Early Education Center. Our center is designed to serve infants, toddlers, and preschoolers whose parents are enrolled in our Workforce Development and Social Enterprise program. You would be part of an innovative, big thinking organization whose mission is to help young adults and their children attain social and economic success.
As a classroom teacher, you will work with a co-teacher to implement effective educational practices. The center promotes developmentally appropriate, constructivist, and play-based learning with a focus on socioemotional, cognitive, physical, and communication development.

The salary for this role is $48,500-$55,000K plus benefits. UTEC’s nationally recognized model begins with intensive street outreach and gang peacemaking, reaching out to our most disconnected young adults to meet them “where they are.” Each young person in our target population (ages 17-25, with a history of serious criminal and/or gang involvement) receives up to three years of intensive case management. UTEC provides paid work experience through our social enterprises within a transitional employment framework. We provide alternative education through tutoring, HiSET/GED preparation, and dual-enrollment opportunities to earn community college credits. Social justice and civic engagement are embedded in all programming, with special emphasis in our organizing and policymaking work, locally and statewide. UTEC’s three primary outcomes are: reduced criminal involvement, increased employability, and increased educational attainment. Driven by evidence-based data, the recidivism rate of UTEC-enrolled young adults averages less than 20%, compared with a statewide average above 50%.
