The Research Assistant will assist the Digital Media and Outreach Committee in managing and improving the Department of English's web presence. Responsibilities include updating website content, maintaining social media pages, and constructing digital surveys.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in English and possess superior editorial and writing skills. Experience in designing, managing, or editing websites and social media pages is preferred.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.
These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.
These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.
Assist Digital Media and Outreach Committee to extend and improve the web presence of the Department of English; collect, organize, update and edit information on website; extend and maintain Facebook page; research ways of extending departmental presence on social media; help construct and execute a digital survey.
Some experience designing/managing/editing websites and social media pages is preferred;
BA in English;
Superior editorial and writing skills.
