The cashier manages customer transactions using a cash register and ensures a positive customer experience through friendly service. Additionally, they perform front-of-house maintenance tasks such as cleaning tables and refilling beverage stations during slow periods.
Applicants must be part-time students in good academic standing and be able to work at least 8 hours per week. Candidates must pass a criminal background check and complete mandatory food handling and security trainings.

Accountability
Reports to the University Dining Assistant Manager – DUC Food Court, and the Student Manager – DUC Food Court.
Responsibilities
Cashier provides a positive customer experience with fair, friendly, and courteous service. Registers sales on a cash register by scanning items, itemizing and totaling customers’ purchases. Resolves customers’ issues and answers questions. Bag purchases if needed. Processes return transactions. When business is slow at the register, assist with front of house duties.
