Job DetailsJob Location: Dallas, TX 75235Position Type: Full TimeJob Category: ManagementOUR MISSION

The Family Place empowers survivors of family violence by providing safe housing, counseling, and skills that create independence while building community engagement and advocating for social change to stop family violence.

Position Summary

In this position as Director of Fundraising, Corporate, In-Kind, Planned Giving, you will lead The Family Place's strategy for corporate partnerships and in-kind giving — two revenue streams that together expand our capacity to serve survivors and strengthen the resources available across our programs. You'll develop and execute a corporate fundraising strategy that grows partnerships from initial prospect to long-term commitments, while ensuring that in-kind donations are aligned with real organizational needs and thoughtfully managed from solicitation through distribution. Collaboration is central to this role — you'll work across departments to match what partners can offer with what our programs actually need, making the connections that turn goodwill into meaningful impact.

If you're a relationship builder who can move between big-picture strategy and the details of managing a partnership pipeline, and who finds satisfaction in building the kind of corporate relationships that last well beyond a single gift or donation drive, this role is built for you.

Key Responsibilities

Corporate Fundraising Strategy

Develop and execute a multi-year corporate fundraising strategy aligned with organizational priorities and revenue goals.
Build and manage a portfolio of corporate prospects and partners, tracking pipeline activity and ensuring consistent progression from cultivation through commitment.
Identify new corporate funding opportunities across sectors and develop customized proposals and engagement strategies for priority prospects.
Establish clear performance metrics and reporting to track revenue growth, partner activity, and goal attainment.

Corporate Partnership Management

Serve as the primary relationship manager for corporate partners, ensuring strong engagement, timely stewardship, and renewal conversations.
Build multi-year partnerships that deepen over time, moving corporate relationships from transactional giving to sustained investment in The Family Place's mission.
Develop and deliver compelling partnership presentations and proposals that connect corporate giving interests with organizational programs and priorities.
Coordinate sponsorship fulfillment, recognition, and reporting to maintain partner satisfaction and confidence.

In-Kind Donation Strategy & Coordination

Develop and lead the organization's strategy for soliciting, receiving, and distributing in-kind donations in alignment with program needs.
Work closely with program teams to identify and communicate in-kind priorities, ensuring that donations are purposefully sourced rather than reactively accepted.
Manage the intake, acknowledgment, and recordkeeping of all donated goods and services, maintaining accurate and timely documentation.
Cultivate corporate relationships that include both cash and in-kind giving as part of an integrated partnership package.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration

Partner with program, operations, and finance staff to align in-kind and corporate giving with actual organizational needs and budget priorities.
Collaborate with senior leadership and Board members to leverage relationships for corporate prospecting and partner cultivation.
Coordinate with the Development team to ensure corporate and in-kind activity is integrated into the broader fundraising strategy and CRM tracking.

Data Management & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of all corporate partners and in-kind donor activity in CRM systems.
Track and report on revenue performance, pipeline health, in-kind value, and partner retention on a regular basis.
Use data to identify trends, surface opportunities, and inform strategy across both revenue streams.

Other Duties

Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required.
5+ years of experience in fundraising, corporate partnership development, or business development.

Licenses and Certifications

Valid Texas Driver’s License and a clear driving record.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge of the Dallas philanthropic community preferred.
Experience conducting major gift solicitations and managing donors through a moves management process with demonstrated ability to make direct asks and close high-value commitments.
Deep understanding of fundraising principles, strategies, and best practices across multiple revenue streams (major gifts, corporate partnerships, foundation grants, planned giving, special events).
Exceptional relationship-building and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including compelling storytelling and case for support development.
Ability to influence, inspire, and lead diverse stakeholders toward shared fundraising goals.
Ability to think strategically while remaining execution-oriented and results-driven with a strong focus on revenue generation
Proven ability to build and manage a pipeline and convert prospects into committed revenue.
Experience working with or transitioning into mission-driven or nonprofit environments is a plus, but not required.
Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and ability to translate vision into execution

Mental and Physical Duties

Duties are usually performed seated with occasional periods of standing or walking. Limited physical effort is required associated with lifting and carrying objects (less than 25 lbs).

Working Conditions

Work may be performed, but is not limited to an office environment. Ability to work some weekends and evening hours for special projects.

Essential Personnel Designation: Non-Essential

Non-essential employees will follow Dallas Independent School District (DISD) closure/delay decisions and are expected to work remotely or use PTO during inclement weather. Refer to The Family Place Inclement Weather Policy for complete details.
